Care Hub / Enrichment

What is enrichment? A friendly introduction

Enrichment simply means giving your hamster interesting things to do, so their day is more than eating and sleeping.

The idea in one line

Enrichment lets your hamster use natural instincts: foraging, digging, running, hiding and gnawing.

Easy first steps

  • Scatter part of the food so they can search for it
  • Offer tunnels, cardboard tubes or a safe hideout
  • Add safe wood chews (apple, willow or aspen are commonly used) and a sand bath
  • Rearrange things occasionally so the home feels fresh

You don't need to buy a lot. Small, simple changes can make a big difference.
